'Still Alive' Optioned in France, 'The Floor' Opens a Baltic Hub. A Week in Formats

Still Alive - Something Special

Studio TF1’s Flanagan Productions has optioned two formats from Something Special for the French market, FormatBiz reports. The mystery reality game show 'Still Alive' places contestants in a mysterious mansion with hidden rules of death, while the experimental reality competition format 'The Penthouse Game' features hierarchy and challenges to gain power in a penthouse.

Talpa Studios' quiz show format 'The Floor' has now reached 24 territories, as broadcasters in Estonia and Latvia order local versions. TV3 Estonia will air 60 daily episodes, while Latvian TV3 opts for a weekly version. Additionally, a new Baltic hub for 'The Floor' opens in Lithuania.

Following two specials aired last year, M6 France has ordered a full season of the BBC Studios game show 'Weakest Link'. The format also makes a comeback in the U.S. on a new channel, as Fox commissions 'Celebrity Weakest Link' for a fall season, World Screen reports.

France Télévisions has announced 'Intuition', a new game show from Ah Production and Cyrilprod that puts gut feeling center stage — as being close is all it takes to win.

While SBS6 prepares to launch 'Let's Play Ball' next month in the Netherlands, Banijay reveals that a British version of the comedic reality format is also in development. In the show, two rival teams of comedians go head-to-head in a race to transport a gigantic ball across various terrains.

ABC Australia announces 'Crime Night!', a comedy true-crime panel show “where real-life cases are examined through the lens of criminology and comedy”.
