Format News: 'The Final Circle' Heads to Germany; 'SupermodelMe' Goes Vertical

French prime-time quiz format 'The Final Circle' (Warner Bros.) will get its first international adaptation, ordered by Sat.1/Joyn Germany for summer. 50 contestants in a 360° arena face challenges that test every part of the mind, from logic and memory to language and visual skills.

Variety reports that, in a significant step for U.S. daytime TV, NBCUniversal is abandoning original production for first-run syndication and canceling 'Karamo', 'The Steve Wilkos Show', as well as entertainment news shows 'Access Hollywood' and 'Access Hollywood Live'.

Modeling competition 'SupermodelMe' from Refinery Media will be rebooted by streamer FlareFlow in a vertical format. The show pits aspiring models against one another in fashion-related tasks.

Sky UK has ordered 'The 100 Day Split', a relationship format that sees six couples who have been together since childhood take a test: spending 100 days apart. It will be produced by ITV Studios' Bright Entertainment.

More commissioning news: Banijay Entertainment announces that the coin-pusher-machine quiz format 'Tipping Point' is heading to New Zealand on TVNZ; and Bavaria Entertainment/Sera Film's game show 'Think', built around guessing words with some letters revealed and others hidden, has been optioned in Spain.

The British version of NBCUniversal's 'Saturday Night Live' will launch this week on Sky One, with Tina Fey hosting the first episode.

Nippon TV's 'Meet Me There' debuts a local version in Singapore. The docu-reality format starts with a mysterious message, bringing someone's special person to meet them at their special place.

Also launching: a new celebrity reality game show with hidden cameras and secret missions, 'Celebrity Sabotage' on ITV UK; a new 'Survivor Germany' on Sport1; and 'The Traitors Turkey' on Prime Video.
